D&E Machine Co has been serving the Lebanon, Ohio, area for over 50 years now, but do you know where we came from?

In this blog, D&E Machine discusses our beginnings and how our company was led to where we are today.

It Started in a Garage

Like many great businesses, D&E Machine began in a garage. In 1971, the company was founded in the one-car garage of Dink and Etta Bennett, at their residence on State Route 42, in Lebanon, Ohio. Dink and Etta named their machining business D&E Machine Co after their first names.

As time went on, the business grew quickly, and D&E Machine moved to a 10,000-square-foot facility nearby.

A Change of Ownership

In 1990, the business was purchased by Kent and Kim Coomer. Kent was a long-time employee of Dink and Etta prior to the purchase.

D&E Machine Co. continued to grow. In December 2010, the business moved into another facility near the original location in Lebanon, Ohio.

Serving the Lebanon, Ohio Area

Today D&E Machine Co is still owned and operated by Kent and Kim Coomer and continues to expand as it serves the machining needs of Ohio businesses and beyond.

D&E Machine now provides advanced machining services such as:

Precision CNC Turning

Our CNC turning services can create higher quality products at lower prices. We specialize in smaller quantities of 200 units or less to ensure quality. Our machines can cut components from materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, PVC, and fiberglass-reinforced plastics.

CNC Milling and Vertical Milling

At D&E Machine, our CNC milling machines have 4th-axis capabilities. Like our CNC turning machines, they can handle most metals such as stainless steel and aluminum, and also most plastics as well. Our setup meets the needs of most industries, including parts for the auto industry, robotics industry, and steel mills.

Custom Engineering of Manufacturing Components

D&E Machine Co has the capabilities to help clients create custom parts or reverse engineer parts that are broken but are no longer in production. Using MASTER CAM technology, our engineers design your custom components and program our machines to make them.

Custom Manufacturing Assemblies Services

We specialize in creating work-holding and assembly fixtures and end-of-arm tooling for robotic cells and can cater to just about any industry. We have been able to meet the needs of most of the businesses in our area.
